Kentucky Junior Amateur

Championship Description

The Kentucky Junior Amateur Championship is open to any junior golfer 18 years of age or younger as of the first day of the championship. The Championship is open to residents of the Commonwealth of Kentucky ONLY. The entry fee for this 54-hole event is $200.00 (18-Hole Divisions)/$80.00 (9-Hole Divisions) for ALL PLAYERS.

NEW TO 2024: This year's event has been moved to a 54-hole format for all 18-Hole divisions. This change aims to gain an exemption into future USGA Boys/Girls Junior Amateur Championships. To secure these exemptions in the future, we need to move our state amateur championships to 54-holes to gain WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking) power rankings. The goal is that, eventually, our state amateurs will have a high enough power ranking to earn an exemption into the USGA national championships.
